| "Home appliances going to the countryside" complaint to be resolved in 7 days

Beijing will organize "home appliances going to the countryside" product sales tours and the complaints against sales outlets will be resolved within seven days. On June 4, eleven departments including the Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce jointly issued a notice to implement the “detailed rules for the operation of home appliances going to the countryside.” At present, Beijing has already sold 32,363 "home appliances going to the countryside" products, the sales value of which exceeded 50 million yuan.
"Home appliances going to the countryside" complaint will be resolved in 7 days.
Sales tours to deliver products to doorsteps
Information shows that the "home appliances going to the countryside" sales outlets must report to the commerce bureaus of the respective district and county, and provide sales information via the program’s information management system. Meanwhile, relevant sales enterprises and outlets will be organized to develop various forms of promotions, including sales tours, to deliver products to farmers’ doorsteps.
As soon as the commerce authorities receive a complaint from a farmer against the sales outlet, the authorities will investigate and resolve the matter within seven working days and publicize which outlet has violated the regulations. Finance bureaus should promptly allocate the budgeted subsidies into the “special accounts for auto, motorcycle and ‘home appliances going to the countryside’ subsidies” set up by finance offices in villages and towns. If the subsidies are insufficient, finance bureaus in each district and county shall make advance payments. Industry, commerce and quality supervision authorities will strictly crack down on the illegal practice of selling counterfeit, inferior or refurbished home appliances in the name of “home appliances going to the countryside” program.
Retail price of home appliances should not exceed the maximum limits
Information shows that the central government has set a maximum price on nine types of home appliances in the program. Beijing will implement the policy based on these specific price limits and operators should not charge more than the maximum price without authorization. By May 31, Beijing had already sold 32,363 "home appliances going to the countryside" products, the sales value of which reached 54.467 million yuan, surpassing 50 million yuan. |
